How to Strum Faster in "Guitar Hero 3" for the Wii

Strumming the guitar-shaped controller in "Guitar Hero 3" for the Wii involves pressing down on the white "Strum" button while playing notes. When notes are spaced out in a song, this method is more than acceptable. However, when notes start to pile up and must be played as quickly as possible during faster songs, the only way you will see any type of success is if you strum as quickly as possible.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your Nintendo Wii. Insert your "Guitar Hero" game disc into the console, and select a song to play. This choice is based on your own personal preferences, but if you're not yet comfortable with the concept of fast guitar strumming, choosing one of the "Easy" songs is wise.

Press down on the white guitar strumming button on your guitar-shaped controller one time. This will play one note.

    • 3

Pull up on the white guitar strumming button on your guitar-shaped controller. This will play another note. The button moves in both directions: "down" and "up." Each time the button moves, a note will be played. To strum faster, do not press the button "down" and then press "down" again on the next note. Alternate between the "down" and "up" positions as fast as your hand can move to play long strings of notes that are very close together.
