How to Pressure Wash an Awning

Awnings are roof-like projections that shade windows from the harsh sun. Awnings can be metal, fabric or plastic, but no matter what they are made of they often get dirty. Exposure to wind, rain and the other elements of nature leave awnings coated in dirt and debris. A power washer cleans the awning with a concentrated spray of water to remove the dirt and debris easily. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Place a 25-degree tip on the end of the pressure washer if the awning is metal and a 40-degree tip on the pressure washer if the awning is fabric or plastic.

      Attach the hose to the water tank on the pressure washer and turn on the hose.

      Turn on your pressure washer and point it toward the ground as it comes on. Hold the wand 2 to 3 feet from the awning and spray it with the water. Move the stream of water slowly over the awning several times to remove all of the dirt and debris.

      Turn off the pressure washer and allow the awning to dry.
