When you are decorating your home during the Christmas holidays, you can make the rooms more festive by setting out decorations that are handcrafted. For example, you can make a festive Christmas tree picture utilizing art materials such as glitter, acrylic paint and used costume jewelry. A costume jewelry Christmas tree picture can be created and placed on a shelf to add sparkle and elegance to the room during the holidays.
Things You'll Need
- Acrylic paint
- Clear glitter
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue stick
- Costume jewelry
Cut out a tree form from cardboard.
Paint the tree using acrylic paint, then cover the wet paint with clear glitter. Let the paint dry. Shake off the excess glitter.
Heat up a hot glue gun for five minutes.
Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the back of a piece of costume jewelry, and press the glued side onto the tree. Let the glue cool.
Repeat this process to cover the entire tree with costume jewelry. You can set out the Christmas tree picture on a mantle or shelf during the holidays.
