How to Use Basic H to Control Tapeworms
Basic H is a green cleaner made by Shaklee. The cleaner has been on the market for over 40 years. There are many uses for Basic H including for house cleaning, toothpaste and even the garden. Using Basic H to control worms is not a suggested use by Shaklee. However, Basic H is safe for human and animal consumption. According to Joel Salatin who wrote the book "Salad Bar Beef," Basic H can be used to control worms in all livestock animals.

Measure out Basic H classic for the animal you are trying help eliminate worms. For cows, use 1 cup per 100 gallons of water. For smaller animals like goats and sheep the dosage needs to be smaller. Measure out 6 cubic centimeters (cc).

Mix the Basic H classic with water. For large animals the cleaner can be added to the water trough. For smaller animals, mix the 6 cc cleaner with 8 oz water. Place the mixture in a turkey baster and give to the animal.

Continue the treatment each day for the next week. Monitor the animals stool for signs of worms. Tapeworms will be long and flat. Have a vet verify if there are tapeworms and tapeworm eggs present in the stool.

Tips & Warnings
If the treatment does not seem to be working add diatomaceous earth into the animals diet to remove worms.
Basic H has a new formula Basic H2, which has not been approved for use in animals. Verify the cleaner you are using is Basic H Classic formula.
