How to Make Flash Game Programs
Creating games using Flash can be challenging but fun. Adobe Flash is a platform used to add rich media elements to websites. Things such as animation, video and even games can be created using Flash. A knowledge of the ActionScript3 programming language is needed to develop Flash games. However, once learned, following a basic outline makes it easy to develop several types of games.

Brainstorm game concepts, creating scenes and characters.

Launch Adobe Flash Professional CS5.

Insert images into your game. This will define your game and the characters in it. Start by inserting layers for your foreground and background by clicking "Layers" and then "Foreground Graphics" and "Background Graphics".

Add motion to an image by double-clicking on the object, and in the "Layers" window clicking "Add a control."

Design code for your game, to define the rules of it. Coding for Flash is done using ActionScript3. Click "Window" and then "Actions" and enter your code into the Action Window.

Compile your code to test the script for errors and translate the programming language into something that the computer will understand.

Save your program by clicking "File", "Save As..." and save your program to the desktop.

Upload your completed Flash game program to the Internet.

Flash is optimized for computers, and the games created with it will not run on many popular phones, such as the iPhone.
Creating games using Adobe Flash is a very complex task that can consume many hours.
