How to Troubleshoot a Tektronix

Study the Tektronix oscilloscope. Note any irregularities in the system, an irregularity could be any aspect of the Tektronix oscilloscope that does not perform its job normally. If you discover a problem with the system, you can begin searching for a solution.

Evaluate the signal quality on your Tektronix oscilloscope. Push the "Measure" button on the front panel of the oscilloscope with one finger. Press the "Select Measurement" button on the bottom of the front panel. Push the "More" button to attain the required measurements. Press the "More" button to adjust the measurements if the oscilloscope does not accurately display your measurements.

Test the video quality of the Tektronix oscilloscope. Press the button labeled "Display" on the front panel. Push the "Video Picture" button to the left of the "Display" button. Push the "Picture" button on the front panel. View the sample image that appears after you push the "Picture" button and determine whether the video quality is acceptable. You can adjust the video quality with the "Picture" button. Each time you push the "Picture" button, the image changes.
