Instructions

Soak the connection of the shower hose to the water line with a spray lubricant. This is especially necessary if the hose has been connected for many years. The minerals from the water can make the hose difficult to remove without a spray lubricant. Let the lubricant soak in for 20 minutes.

Grasp the water line firmly with one pair of slip-joint pliers. Keep the water line from moving; otherwise, you could damage the plumbing inside the wall.

Place the other pair of slip-joint pliers on the fitting of the hose. Turn the fitting counterclockwise to loosen it. If it is tight, spray some more lubricant on it and keep trying. Once the hose fitting has been loosened, remove it the rest of the way by hand.
