How to Make Scary Pop-Up Videos
Videos designed to trick viewers are a comical prank on the Internet, whether it is using a misleading title to trick viewers into watching a video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" or using a video to scare the viewer with a surprising scream and scary face. With an effective pop-up video, the viewer is engrossed in the video they believe they are watching and are in prime position to be scared when the scary image and sounds pop up.

-
3
Choose your trap video or image, such as an optical illusion or picture that claims to have a hidden image, that can attract the attention of the viewer so they are focused on the screen when the pop-up image occurs.
-
4
Open your video-editing software and load the trap video into the program as a new video project.
-
5
Turn down the volume on the trap video if there is any, so the viewer will have to turn the volume up.
-
6
Load the image and sound into the same video project.
-
7
Place the sound and image approximately 20 seconds into the video file.
-
8
Turn the sound on the scream up to full volume.
-
9
Share the video with friends, or upload it to a video site such as YouTube. If uploading to a remote video site, be sure to include a description in the title and video description that will ensure viewers are paying close attention when the pop-up image occurs.
