How to Ride a Honda ATV
Honda makes many types of recreational vehicles, including an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). A Honda ATV is similar to all other recreational vehicles of the same type, because they can be used for sport or utility tasks. You will need to learn how to ride or drive the ATV to use it. However, when riding your Honda ATV, the safe operation of the vehicle is required at all times, as is the proper safety equipment.

Put on your helmet, get on the ATV, and verify that the machine is set to "Park" or neutral. Set the parking brake, if equipped on your model of Honda ATV.

Turn the switch for the fuel supply to the "On" position, if applicable to your model. Move the key or engine stop switch to the "Run" position.

Push down on the kick start level with your foot to start the machine, or press the electric "Start" button.

Pull in on the clutch, and then set the transmission to first gear. Place your hands onto the handle grips, and set your feet on the footrests.

Increase the throttle for the machine to begin riding. Turn the handle bars to the left and right to make turns.

Grip the brake lever on the handlebar to stop the ATV.

Do not make sharp turns when riding, because you can fall off of the machine.
