How to Select GPS for TomTom in XDA Orbit

GPS is a Global Positioning System that uses satellite-based navigation consisting of twenty-four satellites. According to Garmin, the United States Department of Defense was the first to use GPS. However, in the 1980s GPS became available to civilians. XDA Orbit is a mobile phone by O2, a United Kingdom-based telecommunications company. TomTom is another GPS that you can use for your mobile phone. You can select GPS for TomTom in XDA Orbit by configuring your XDA Orbit phone settings.

Instructions

1. Turn on your XDA Orbit.

2. Access your "Settings" menu in XDA Orbit. Press "Start," "Settings," "System" and then "GPS."

3. Press the "Programs" tab in "GPS settings." Select a GPS program port.

4. Press "OK" when you select the GPS program port.

5. Launch the TomTom application in XDA Orbit. Select "Change Preferences" and "Show GPS Status" from the main menu and then press "Configure."

6. Scroll down the list and then select "Other NMEA GPS Device."

7. Press "Select" and then set the baud rate. Select the default rate of "4800" for the best results and then press "Done."

8. Set the COM port to the one you selected in "Step 5" to select GPS for TomTom in XDA Orbit.
