How to Wrap a Christmas Gift of Cash

Find creative ways to wrap cash as a Christmas gift.

Your kid is home from college for the holidays and the only thing he really needs is a wad of cash to do his laundry or go out with his buddies on the weekend. Just sliding it into a Christmas card doesn't seem quite right. Because the gift might not seem as thoughtful as other gifts, it's important to still make the recipient feel special. Add a few inexpensive items to wrap with the gift as well as a little bit of creative flair.

Things You'll Need

• Light brown washcloth
• Dark brown washcloth
• Christmas coffee mug
• Cash
• Coffee beans

Instructions

1. Take the light brown washcloth and fold it half. Repeat this again, making a double fold in the washcloth. Do the same for the dark washcloth. Both of the washcloths should be folded in fourths, lengthwise.

2. Lay the dark washcloth on top of the light washcloth. Make the sides of the washcloths even with each other but pull the dark washcloth down until it is two inches lower than the light washcloth.

3. Lay the cash flat on top of the dark washcloth, centering it so that it is even with both of the cloths.

4. Fold the end of the dark washcloth over the cash, leaving an inch of the light washcloth below it visible.

5. Grab hold of the end of the light washcloth and roll it by itself at first until it meets the dark washcloth. Continue rolling both of the cloths together along with the cash until the roll is complete.

6. Place the washcloth roll into the Christmas coffee mug. Cover the top of the mug in coffee beans for an extra effect.
