How to Reduce Postage Costs
If you run and operate your own business, you probably spend a good deal of your budget on postage to ship products to customers. Because shipping is such a big part of your business, it is important to reduce the overall cost of your postage as much as possible. Doing so is going to save you a great deal of money over the long run and help improve your bottom line.

1
Purchase lighter envelopes. Many envelopes now contain supported bubble wrap and other types of padding. While this may protect the products being shipped, it also adds to the weight of the envelopes thereby increasing your shipping costs. If you are just sending products that can't be damaged (such as paper or books), consider utilizing envelopes without padding.

2
Shop around for cheaper shipping options. Often times, the United States Postal Service offers the best prices available. Nevertheless, UPS and FedEx provide discounted prices for bulk shipping, which may be the best option if you ship large amounts.

3
Reduce the size of your packages, if at all possible. Larger packages are often charged additional shipping fees.

4
Purchase "Forever Stamps" from the United States Postal Service. If the cost of postage ever increases you can use these stamps, which you purchased at a lower cost, at any time in the future.
