The enlisted men's uniform consists of a jacket, pants, shirt, tie and black shoes. The jacket, trousers and shirt should be neatly pressed and the shoes should be shined. The USAF launched a website that answers every conceivable query on how to wear the 25 different USAF uniforms and how to properly display insignia, awards and decorations. There are five different dress uniforms, of which the "Enlisted Service" is the most common. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Place the dress uniform jacket on a flat surface facing upwards.

      Center the name tag on the viewer's left side, halfway between the sleeve seam and the lapel.

      Center the award ribbons resting on the edge of the welt pocket between the left and right edges.

      Place the US insignia with circles halfway up the lapel seam, resting on but not over it and parallel to the ground.

      Center the sleeve chevron halfway between the shoulder seam and elbow.

      The bottom tip of the necktie should end just above the belt buckle. A tie tack or tie clasp is optional. If worn, the tack or clip should be centered between the bottom edge of the knot and the bottom tip of the tie.

      All buttons on the jacket should be buttoned while the jacket is worn.

      The Enlisted Service Dress uniform jacket for women follows the same protocol as the men's uniform except for the inclusion of a skirt instead of trousers and a tie specifically designed to be worn with the women's dress uniform.
