Instructions

    • 1

Gently blot stain with clean cloth to remove excess dark chocolate. Avoid rubbing as it may make the stain worse.

    • 2

Turn the garment inside out. Working from the underside of the stain prevents the stain from being pushed further into the fabric.

    • 3

Add 1 tsp. of clear dish-washing detergent to a cup of cool water and gently blot the stain with a cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain as it will make the fabric fuzzy.

    • 4

Launder the garment as directed by the cleaning instructions located on the tag. If any stain remains, apply one part clear dish-washing liquid to two parts hydrogen peroxide. Test this on a small, hidden spot of the fabric first to ensure there is no discoloration.

    • 5

Inspect the garment to make sure stain is completely gone before throwing it in the dryer. Heat tends to make stains more permanent.

Tips & Warnings

  • Read garment care instructions. Take the item to a dry cleaner as soon as possible if the item is marked as "dry clean only."
