Instructions

  1. Vertical Installation

    • 1

Remove the Koala Diaper Changing Station from the box. Check the unit for any damage and be sure all the mounting hardware is included. Open the bed of the unit to ensure it is working properly.

    • 2

Choose a spot on your wall where you will mount the Koala Diaper Changing Station. You should choose a place on the wall in which the studs will be positioned. Have a friend hold the unit on the wall and open the bed to be sure you have enough clearance to operate the unit once it is installed.

    • 3

Locate the stud on the wall for hanging the left side of the changing station. Measure 58-1/2 inches from the floor and mark an "X" with a pencil.

    • 4

Place the top left mounting hole of the changing station over the mark you drew. Mark off the remaining mounting holes with a pencil. The bottom of the changing station should be 27 inches off the floor when it is mounted correctly.

    • 5

Drill holes through the "X" marks using a 3-mm wood drill bit. Drill pilot holes to start, then finish with the supplied screws and washers. If your wall is tile or masonry over wood, start with a 6-mm masonry bit until you hit the wood part of the wall. Finish with a 3-mm wood drill bit.

    • 6

For walls with metal studs or a concrete base, use a 13-mm masonry drill bit for the holes. You will need to place the supplied toggles in the holes, approximately 2-1/2 inches deep. Tighten the toggles before proceeding to the next step.

    • 7

Use the supplied machine screws and washers to finish mounting the Koala Diaper Changing Station.

    • 8

Hand tighten the screws and push down gently on the unit to make sure it is stable and properly mounted. Open and close the changing station bed to ensure there is enough room for movement and changing.

    Horizontal Installation

    • 9

Remove the Koala Diaper Changing Station from the box. Check the unit for any damage and be sure all the mounting hardware is included. Open the bed of the unit to ensure it is working properly.

    • 12

Measure the distance between the mounting holes on the Koala Diaper Changing Station using a tape measure. Mark off the other holes on the wall using a pencil, making sure they are level.

    • 13

Drill pilot holes through the "X" marks using a 3-mm wood drill bit. If your wall is tile or masonry over wood, start with a 6-mm masonry bit until you hit the wood part of the wall. Finish with a 3-mm wood drill bit.

    • 15

Screw the top two mounting screws into the wall, leaving about 1/4 inch exposed.

    • 16

Place the Koala Diaper Changing Station on the wall by hanging the body on the screws on the slots. Confirm that the unit is level and tighten the screws until the changing station is secured to the wall.

    • 17

Place and tighten the remaining lower screws and washers until the changing station is secured to the wall. Push down gently on the unit to ensure tightness and safety. Open the bed to check for adequate changing space around the unit.
