How to Set the Alarm on a 1440 Watch


The Timex 1440 sports watch, named for the number of minutes in a day, is available in men's, women's and unisex designs. The watch has a 24-hour chronograph and a stopwatch. It will automatically synchronize the time and date with atomic clock signals in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany. The watch can display the time in 12-hour or 24-hour format, and the date as month/day or day/month. The 1440 has Timex's Indiglo night light with night mode, and a daily alarm.

Press the "Mode" button on the lower left side of the watch. Press until "Alarm" is displayed on the watch.

Press the "Set" button on the lower right side of the watch. The hour flashes. Press the "Start/Stop" button on the upper right side of the watch. Advance the hour to the hour for the alarm. Hold down the "Start/Stop" button to quickly advance the hours.

Press the "Mode" button. The minutes flash. Press the "Start/Stop" button to advance the minutes to your alarm time.

Press the "Set" button. The alarm is on. An "Alarm Clock" icon appears on the display between the time and day when the alarm mode is active.

Press the "Mode" button until "Alarm" displays. Press the "Start/Stop" button to turn the alarm off.
