Installation Instructions for a Metal Twin Full Bunk Bed
Although less common than the double-twin design, you can find a metal bunk bed that combines a full bed with a twin bed at most bed outlets. Other than the fact that the mattress frames aren't interchangeable, the basic method for installing this configuration is the same as for other bunk beds. Each manufacturer recommends a unique set of steps for assembly, but most follow the same basic pattern. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Clear out the area where you want to install the bed. Move your bunk bed components to that area before beginning the assembly process.
-
2
Set one end piece up so it leans against the wall. Make sure that it's pointing in the right direction, with the screw holes for mounting pointing toward you and away from the wall.

3
Identify the mattress rails for the bottom bunk. In most models, these are the rails for the full bunk. If you have any doubt, read the manufacturer's assembly instructions.
-
4
Attach the bottom bunk mattress rails to the bottom tier of mounting brackets in the end piece. Most models use a nut-and-bolt arrangement. Often, you will screw in your bolt with the hex wrench while holding the nut in place with pliers. Different models will vary, so confirm with the instructions if you have any doubts.

5
Set the remaining end piece on end and attach it to the open ends of the bottom bunk mattress rails. This step is much easier if you have an assistant to hold things steady.
-
6
Slide the upper bunk mattress rails into position with the upper tier of mounting brackets. Bolt them in place as you did the lower bunk.
-
7
Maneuver the finished frame into position in the room. Add the twin and full mattresses to complete the installation.
