How to Donate or Sell Cardboard Boxes to Companies
Anyone who has packed up their belongings and moved knows that purchasing new cardboard boxes can get expensive. Then, once the move is over, you're left with stacks of empty boxes that you no longer need. While storing or recycling the boxes is an option, you may want to consider donating or selling the cardboard boxes to a local company or charity. You may be surprised how many companies in your area will happily accept cardboard boxes that are in good condition.

1
Remove any leftover packaging tape from the cardboard boxes and inspect them for evidence of rips, holes or weakness. Any cardboard boxes that are not in good condition should be recycled, not donated or sold.
-
2
Make neat piles of flattened cardboard boxes. If you have many boxes in different sizes and shapes, create piles of boxes in similar sizes. Tie piles together with twine to make them easily transportable.

Contact local churches, homeless shelters and other nonprofit organizations in your area to see whether they accept cardboard box donations. These organizations often collect cardboard boxes and donate them to needy individuals who are preparing to move.

4
Call packing supply and shipping companies in your area to see whether they purchase cardboard boxes or accept them as donations. Oftentimes, these companies also accept packing materials such as bubble wrap and packing peanuts.
