How to Learn Russian in a Few Days
If you want to travel to Russia or do business with Russian companies, you may need to learn how to speak the Russian language quickly. Unlike some other foreign countries where people are typically bilingual, the majority of Russians are not fluent in English. This makes an understanding of Russian important when communicating with Russian people. Like any language, Russian is complex, with a unique vocabulary and grammar. To complicate things further, Russian uses a different alphabet than English speakers are used to. Still, with some intensive work, it is possible to learn the basics of Russian within a few days.

Invest in an online language program or order a similar system to be sent to your home. While most cities offer Russian language classes, these classes usually occur once a week and will not teach you quickly enough to learn in a few days. Learn the Russian (also known as the Cyrillic) alphabet. Even if you are only aiming to learn spoken Russian, knowing the alphabet is the key to breaking down the Russian language. Practice speaking Russian constantly. Since you only have a few days to learn as much as possible, you must focus on using the language as much as you can. This can mean speaking out loud to yourself even when you're not actively using your lessons. If you have any Russian-speaking friends or colleagues, ask them to help you practice conversing in Russian.

Rent some Russian movies or go see a play in Russian. If you hear the language being spoken by natural Russian speakers, you may be able to pick it up more quickly.
