Canon DR-9050C Imprinter Instructions
The Cannon DR-9050C is a high-speed production scanner used by many businesses to manage their important documents. This machine delivers reliability along with high-quality images. Scanning documents can save a business money, since it can drastically reduce the amount of labor needed to handle documents. Individuals can find many uses for this scanner as well, for things like household paperwork, bills, receipts and more. You must first learn how to use this machine correctly.

Press the power switch on the lower left front side of the scanner to turn it on. This switch is also used to turn the machine back off when you are done with it.

Learn about what size documents can be scanned on the machine. This particular scanner can scan a wide variety of document sizes, ranging from a business card to 11" x 17" documents. Document sizes that the scanner can feed include 2" to 12.01" width. For documents that are 2.76" to 17.01" wide, you do not have to use the "Long Document Mode." You can use "On1" in "Long Document Mode" to scan documents that are 2.76" to 39.37" wide. Then you can use "On2" in "Long Document Mode" to scan documents that are from 2.76" to 118.11" wide.

Prepare your document feed tray by adjusting it to the number of pages to be loaded in the tray. Push the "Menu" button and then press the arrow pointing to the left five times. Select the proper setting and press "Enter."

Adjust the document guides to the desired position. When loading documents on the left side of the feeder you will need to move the guides to the far left and far right. Place a document against the left guide, then move the right guide to fit against the right edge of the document. This is done by pulling the lock lever up, sliding it over and then locking the guide back.

Adjust the document eject tray to fit the width of your documents. Open the eject tray extension by flipping it up if the documents need more room when they are ejected. There are also stoppers that can be raised up to prevent papers from spilling over off the tray.

Choose your method of document feeding: continuous or manual. Continuous will automatically load the pages into the scanner for you and manual requires you to insert the page to be scanned. Load up to 500 sheets of high quality paper into the document feeder. Do not go over the load limitation mark found on the left-hand side of the document feed tray.

Scan pages up to 118.11" by pressing "Menu" to activate "User Mode." Push the arrow key facing to the right four times to get to "Long Document Mode." Select "Off" if you are scanning a document only up to 17.01". If the document is up to 39.37", then choose the "On1" selection, and if the document is up to 118.11" choose "On2". Press the "Enter" key to begin scanning.
