The Sunbeam Health at Home humidifier is designed for use in small to medium-sized rooms and adds moisture to air in dry climates. The device offers an automatic shut-off feature for additional safety and includes an extra-large water tank for prolonged periods of use before new water is required. Regular cleaning of the humidifier will maintain the water quality and will help remove bacterial and mineral growth inside the humidifier unit. Always turn off and unplug the humidifier prior to any maintenance or cleaning.
Things You'll Need
- Soft brush
- Cleaning sponge
Remove the water tank from the Sunbeam humidifier and empty out any remaining water.
Dampen a soft brush and gently scrub the interior surfaces of the humidifier. Avoid scrubbing metal parts. Note that the humidifier may have come with a brush stored in the base of the unit for this purpose.
Combine a small amount of household bleach and warm water in the water reservoir. Scrub gently with a cleaning sponge or soft brush. Rinse well until no bleach scent is detected.
Wipe down the exterior of the humidifier with a damp cloth.
Fill the water tank with clean, cool water and replace on the humidifier base. Restore power prior to use.
