How to Unlock Pinnacle Effects

You must unlock the Pinnacle Studio software before you can use Pinnacle Studio effects. Pinnacle Studio is a video editing application that enables you to add content, text, music and effects to video. You can then burn the videos to a DVD directly within the application. Pinnacle effects are included in some versions of Pinnacle Studio or are sold as an add-on application. You need a valid activation key to unlock Pinnacle Studio effects.

Instructions

1. Launch the Pinnacle Studio application.

2. Click "Help" on the main menu bar and then select "View Activation Keys" to view the activation key. Record the 25-character activation key. If the activation key is not displayed in the Help menu, click "Help," and then select "Pinnacle Passport number" from the drop-down list. Record the number, and then click "Regenerate Activation Keys" from the right-hand navigation. A website that will regenerate the keys will open. Enter your Pinnacle Passport number in the appropriate field to regenerate the activation key.

3. Click "Help" on the main menu bar and select "Enter Activation Key" from the drop-down list.

4. Enter the activation key in the pop-up dialog box. Click "OK" to unlock the software.
