Edit your photos easily with Paint.

If you have a picture that has some undesirable features you want to remove, you can use image-editing software to modify the contents of your photo. Microsoft Paint is an image-editing program that comes with all Windows operating systems. Paint gives users access to basic photo-editing tools such as cropping, adding text and drawing objects.

Instructions

      Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Paint." This will open Microsoft Paint.

      Import your pictures to Paint. Navigate to the top of the window and click the "Paint" (blue) button. Choose a picture and click "Open."

      Click the "Home" tab. The "Home" tab gives you access to all of the features of Microsoft paint such as adding text, cropping, color editing and drawing objects.

      Add color to your image. Go to the "Colors" group and click "Edit Colors." Inside the Edit Colors window, select the picture you want and click "OK." To fill the whole image with the color, click "Fill Color" in the "Tools" group.

      Add text to your photo. Go to the "Tools" group and click the "Text" tool (it has an "A" icon). Drag the point to the region you are going insert the text. Paint also gives you option to edit the font and the color of the text you add on your image.

      Add objects into your image. Paint gives you option to add objects such as rectangles, ellipses and polygons. Click the "Shapes" group and select an object. To add a shape with equal sides, click the "Square" shape and hold the Shift key while dragging the mouse.

      Crop your photo. Go to the "Image" group and click "Crop." Cropping allows you to make specific parts of the picture visible. You can also use the "Eraser" in the "Tools" group to remove parts of your picture.

      Save your new picture to your computer. Click the "Paint" (blue) on the top of the screen and click "Save."
