Instructions

    • 1

Start by finding some pictures of "Star Wars" characters. Print out the pictures on regular paper and also on special projector paper, which you can buy at any office supply store.

    • 2

Paint the walls of the room one base color. Use a light gray or other neutral color so that the colors of the "Star Wars" characters really show up. Allow the base coat of paint to dry for at least 24 hours.

    • 3

Use the projector to enlarge the images and project them onto the wall. Work with one character at a time for best results. Trace the projected image on the wall with a pencil.

    • 4

Use the appropriate colors of paints to fill in the sections of the "Star Wars" character using your copy printed on regular paper as a guide. Allow one character to dry before painting another if you want the images to overlap a little.

    • 5

Project another character's image on the wall. Adjust the image, either by using the adjustment knobs on the projector or by physically moving the projector, so that it is to scale with the other images.

    • 6

Cover the paintings of the images with a clear coat to help protect them and make the paint last a little bit longer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Enhance the look of the "Star Wars" bedroom by using apply decals or "Star Wars" wall paper border to the walls.

  • If you want to paint the room to give it the impression of being in outer space, paint the bottom half of the wall in a very light blue and the top half in a navy blue. Paint both halves of the wall at the same time, blending the two colors where they meet in the middle to create a horizon. Paint the characters on the bottom half of the wall and the different "Star Wars" ships on the top half of the wall. You can even add white dots for stars to give the paint dimension.
