Measure around the crown of the hat. Cut a 4-inch wide strip of fabric, 2 inches longer than the hat measurement. Fold in 1 inch along both long sides of the strip and iron the folds down. Glue this strip around the hat with the raw edges on the inside and the ends overlapping in the back.

2
Cut a rectangle of fabric 20 inches long and 8 inches wide. Fold in 2 inches on each long side of the rectangle. Iron the folds down. Fold the short edges into the center with the folded-in raw edges on the inside. Turn the bow over. Thread a needle with 18 inches of thread. Pinch the bow in the center hand-gather it so it maintains a "bow" shape.

Cut a third fabric rectangle 4 inches by 6 inches. Fold in 1 inch on each long side of the fabric and iron the folds down. Wrap the strip of fabric around the center of the bow and sew the ends together in the back.

4
Sew or glue the bow to the back of the hat where the ends of the fabric hatband overlap.
-
5
Arrange flowers along the hatband, starting under the bow and extending halfway around the hat on each side. Arrange the flowers as if they are growing out from under the bow. When you are pleased with the arrangement, glue the flowers on. Start with the flowers closest to the front and work back. Cover the stems of the first flowers with the next flowers. The stems of the last flowers will be under the bow.
