How to Download a Podcast Onto the iPod Nano

In addition to music, books, movies and TV shows, you can also download podcasts from the iTunes media store. After you obtain podcasts with the iTunes application on your computer, you can use the program to download full subscriptions or episodes to your iPod Nano. To download podcasts, visit the Podcasts section of the iTunes store. This will allow you to subscribe to any podcasts series or download individual episodes.

Instructions

1. Plug the larger end of the USB sync cable into the slot on the bottom of the Nano. Insert the other end into a USB port on your PC.

2. Wait as your computer recognizes the Nano. By default, iTunes will open automatically and begin to sync with the Nano. Click the "X" in the iTunes display to cancel the sync. If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open the program manually.

3. Click on your Nano's name in the "Devices" area of iTunes. Then click the "Podcasts" pane.

4. Check the "Sync Podcasts" check box.

5. Click on the podcast in the left "Podcasts" column, then select specific episodes from the "Episodes" column on the right.

6. Click "Apply." The selected podcasts will download to the Nano.

Tips & Warnings

• Check the "Automatically Include" box in the "Podcasts" pane to specify which podcasts and podcast episodes you want iTunes to sync automatically each time you connect your Nano.
