How to Focus the Imaging Source on a Mono Camera thumbnail
You can focus your own camera, without the autofocus option.

A mono camera is a camera, either digital or analog, that has a single lens (stereo cameras have two different lenses that capture the image). Although most cameras have an automatic focus option, it does not always function correctly, which may require you to focus the lens on an image source manually. Learning the correct method of focuses the lens only takes a few moments, and it ensures you always have a crisp-looking image.

Instructions

    • 1

Look through the viewfinder at the source object you want to take the picture of.

    • 2

Zoom into the object as far as you can.

    • 3

Turn the focus ring until the object is completely in focus.

    • 4

Zoom back out. Now, regardless of the focal length and zoom, the source is always going to be in focus on the mono camera.
