Instructions

    • 1

Measure the area of the bottle you want to cover with a label. You don't have to make your label rectangular or square. Consider a round label or a small one that only takes up a small portion of the bottle.

    • 2

Use image-editing software to create your label. Insert an image of your company logo or of people using the product. Type in the text you want in the font of your choice. Experiment with font size and color, since they are easy to change. Personalize the label with a photo if you are creating the skin-care product for a specific person.

    • 3

Print the labels on high-quality paper on a laser printer. Look for special paper, such as one with a light-colored background, to complement your text. Consider a paper with an interesting texture, such as cotton or linen. Cut the labels to size using scissors or a paper cutter.

    • 4

Cut a piece of clear adhesive tape that is slightly longer and wider than your label. Cover the entire label with the tape, and place the tape on the bottle. As an alternative, wrap the tape all the way around the bottle so the tape edges meet in the back.

    • 5

Tie a ribbon around the neck of the bottle for a personal touch. Instead of ribbon, wrap a pipe cleaner or piece of wire around the bottle neck and twist it into an interesting shape.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use an inkjet printer for your bottle labels. Inkjet ink runs when it gets wet.
