Instructions

    • 1

Open a cabinet and remove the screws on the back of the door, holding the old pull in place. Take the old pulls off the cabinet.

    • 2

Measure 2 1/2 inches up from the bottom corner of the cabinet. Take this measurement on the face of the cabinet, centered on the framing portion of the cabinet. If your cabinet does not have framing, measure in about 1 1/2 inches from the opening edge of the cabinet.

    • 3

Drill through the mark on the face of the cabinet with a 3/16-inch drill bit. Insert the screw of the pull through the hole. Place the nut on the back and tighten to hold the knob in place. Repeat this process for the rest of your cabinets.

Apply a bit of wood putty onto the screw holes left from the pulls. Some wood putty comes tinted to match the stain of your cabinet. If you cannot find a match, wait for the putty to dry completely, sand it smooth and apply stain.
