How to Make Beads From Tinfoil
Beads can be made out of a wide variety of materials like paper, plastic, and even tinfoil. Making tinfoil beads is a fun activity to do with children and, because it involves everyday household items and creates very little mess, its fun for parents too. Its easy to learn how to make beads from tinfoil, so this is a great activity for birthday parties, camps, classrooms or any other time when you need to entertain a larger number of children.

Crumpled Tinfoil Beads

Cut tin foil into 2-inch squares.

Crumple each square into a tight ball.

Place each bead in the pliers and squeeze to shape.

Poke the needle through each bead to create a hole for string or wire.

Test the size of your hole with the string or wire you intend to use for the beads. If the hole is not large enough, use a large needle to redo holes.
Rolled Tinfoil Beads

Cut tinfoil into triangles with flat tops. Try different sized triangles for different sized beads. The taller the triangle is, the thicker the bead.

Place the toothpick at the base of your first triangle, and role the tinfoil tightly around it.

Place a drop of glue at the tip of the triangle.

Continue rolling the toothpick upward, wrapping the tinfoil tightly around it.

When you have rolled the top of the tinfoil triangle with the glue into the bead, remove the toothpick and let the bead sit to dry.

Tips & Warnings
Once you finish decorating your beads, try decorating them with markers or paint.
Be sure to supervise children when using scissors and needles.
