  • Football helmet
  • Scissors
  • Foam
  • Permanent marker
  • Duct tape
  • Motocross neck support
  • Martial arts chest/torso guard
  • Boxing groin guard
  • 16 oz. boxing gloves
  • Mouth guard
  • Elbow pads
  • Knee pads
  • Mold the foam around the helmet. Use a marker to make guidelines to help you later cut the foam.

  • Cut the foam along your measurement guidelines. Make sure you use scissors strong enough to cut through the foam cleanly.

  • Tape the foam around the helmet with duct tape. Wrap the tape around the helmet from front to back and up to down. Make sure you do not block your vision with the duct tape.

  • Secure your groin guard in place. The guard should fit firmly to your lower abdomen.

  • Secure your motocross neck support on your shoulders and around your neck. This support will minimize whiplash during your training sessions.

  • Put on your knee and elbow pads.

  • Put on your chest protector. String the protector securely to your torso to ensure it does not come loose during training.

  • Put in your mouth guard. Do this before you put on your helmet and boxing gloves for convenience.

  • Put on your helmet. Use the chin strap to secure the helmet in place.

  • Lace your boxing gloves. You may need help with the second glove because your other hand will be unavailable to you.
