How to Remove Crayon From Leather
Taking the kids on road trips means that supplies are brought along for entertainment. Even with the best thought-out plans, accidents will still happen. The heat in a closed car can become so intense that is can melt a crayon left on a leather seat. Keep your cool when this happens and remove the crayon as soon as it is convenient. Things You'll Need
- Clean, soft cloth
- Water
- Mild hand soap
- Rubbing alcohol
- Iron
- Paper towel
- Leather conditioner

Wet the corner of a clean soft cloth with water and mild hand soap. Rub the crayon mark with the water and soap. Remove the soap with clean water and dry the leather.

Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean, soft cloth. Remove the crayon mark by rubbing the area with the alcohol and cloth. Wipe the area clean with water and dry the leather.

Use an iron and paper towel for crayon that has melted onto the leather. Place three layers of paper towels over the crayon. Set an electric iron to low heat and place the iron over the paper towels. Move the iron in a circular motion over the towels for two or three minutes. Lift the paper towel and the crayon will stick to the towel. Repeat the procedure until the bulk of the crayon is removed. Finish removing the stain with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.

Tips & Warnings
Leather may need to be reconditioned depending on the size of the area that was cleaned.
Do not set the iron above low to remove the stain. Leather could be damaged by using a higher setting.
