      Visit DMAChoice.org (Direct Marketing Association) and register on the home page for free account. From there, you can register your address on the "do not mail" list. Since the majority of junk mail is unsolicited, you can refuse a bulk of junk mail by registering your address here.

      Email abacusoptout@epsilon.com to remove you and your family members' names from the Abucus mailing list. Abacus is one of the largest mailing address databases that exists. Include your full name, address and previous address in the email.

      Sign up at OptOutPreScreen.com to remove your name and address from pre-approved credit card offers.

      Request that your name isn't sold whenever you donate money, purchase things from catalogs, organizations or when you fill out a warranty card. Write in large, bold letters, "Do not sell my name or address."

      Fill out form 1500 from the United States Postal Service (USPS) if you receive unwanted sexually oriented advertisements. The form should be filled out and mailed to the address on the form.

      Cross out your address on unsolicited mail and write "Refused: Return to Sender." Then, place the mail back in your mailbox for the mail carrier to pick up.
