How to Make a Ring Bearer Pillow Out of a Handkerchief
Create an attractive ring bearer's pillow with a pair of handkerchiefs and minimal sewing. There is no need to worry about seams or finished edges since the edges of the hankies are already hemmed. Use handkerchiefs with lace or another decorative edging for the pillow, as this makes the design appear more complex than it really is. The edges are exposed in the finished pillow, adding a decorative touch to an otherwise simple project. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Place two 16-inch square or larger handkerchiefs together, wrong sides touching. Pin them together so they don't slide.
-
2
Sew the two handkerchiefs together on three sides, 1 1/2 inches in from the edge. Leave the fourth side open.
-
-
3
Slide a 14-inch square pillow form into the opening. Sew the fourth side together, enclosing the pillow form within the handkerchiefs. Trim away any loose threads.
-
4
Thread an 8-inch length of coordinating 1/4-inch wide fabric ribbon onto a large-eyed upholstery needle. Slide the needle through the center of the top of the pillow, sewing only through the top handkerchief and not into the pillow form.
-
5
Remove the needle and arrange the ribbon so an equal length protrudes from either side of the single stitch. Tie the ribbon in a bow around the rings to hold them in place.
