How to Seal Cellophane Wrapping

Use cellophane wrapping for your gift baskets.

Using cellophane is a great way to wrap presents for holidays, birthdays or other events. Just like wrapping paper, you can purchase printed cellophane paper for any occasion. Cellophane is especially helpful when trying to wrap an oddly shaped gift basket. It is also a colorful and sanitary way to wrap up holiday cookies and treats.

Things You'll Need

• Cellophane
• Double-sided tape
• Rubber band
• Ribbon

Instructions

1. Purchase cellophane gift bags to wrap cookies or gifts. To securely seal the gift bags, you will need double-sided tape. Place a strip of double-sided tape inside the cellophane gift bag at the very top.

2. Squeeze all the air out of the bag. Press the top of the bag together to securely seal the gift bag.

3. Place another strip of double-sided tape on the outside and along the top of the cellophane bag. Fold the top down so the gift fits more solidly in the bag. Secure the fold in place by firmly pressing the tape to the side of the bag.

4. Use a rubber band as an alternative to double-sided tape. Gather the top of the cellophane together and secure with a rubber band. Cut a piece of ribbon and tie it around the top of the cellophane to hide the rubber band.
