Vanderbilt University's new expanded aid program offers incoming and returning students scholarship or grant assistance instead of need-based loans to meet demonstrated financial need. Vanderbilt meets 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for all accepted U.S. citizens and some non-citizens. Vanderbilt utilizes a family's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine demonstrated financial need. Applicants should consult Vanderbilt University's financial aid calendar for important deadlines and dates. Grants include University need-based grants, University restricted scholarships, Pell and other federal grants and Tennessee state tuition grants.
