You can purchase a household cleaning spray to clean your tanning bed, but some people have sensitivities to cleaning chemicals. To avoid reactions to harsh chemicals, make your own tanning bed cleaning solution with natural products that are safe for skin and the environment.   • 1-quart spray bottle
  • White distilled vinegar
  • Tea tree or lavender essential oil

      Fill the spray bottle with 1/2 quart of white distilled vinegar.

      Fill the rest of the bottle with 1/2 quart of water

      Add three or four drops of tea tree oil or lavender essential oil to add a nice fragrance to the cleaner and boost the cleaning power. Combine different oils or try other oils like lemon, peppermint or orange essential oil.

      Screw the spray nozzle onto the bottle and shake vigorously to combine all the ingredients.

      Spray all surfaces of tanning bed with the cleaning solution and wipe clean with a dry cloth. Spray the entire bed with the solution and leave it wet for 10 minutes to make sure all the bacteria is killed and the bed is properly disinfected.

      Shake the spray bottle before each use to distribute the oils throughout the water and vinegar mixture. The oils will rise to the top of the surface between uses.
