Instructions

Make the bow. Using fabric ribbon on the spool, start with a chosen length of ribbon for the tail of the bow and let it hang down off your hand. Make a loop across your hand, holding it in place with your thumb. Continue making loops back and forth graduating in size, larger to smaller three to six times. Hold the center of the loops and secure with floral wire. Fan out the loops the way you want the bow to look. Sew the bow in the center as close to the floral wire as possible with several stitches to secure the shape and the center of the bow. The stitches do not need to be pretty, they will be covered by the bottle cap. Remove the floral wire and readjust the bow if needed. Cut a second tail from the remaining ribbon that is still attached to the spool. Cut the ends of each tail at an angle for decoration and to prevent fraying.

Make the decorative bottle cap. Using a paper punch, cut the sticker or picture into a 1-inch circle. If you are using a sticker keep the backing on it when punching it out. Adhere the sticker or picture to the inside of the bottle cap, if using a picture use glue. Remove the backing from the page pebble and place it over the sticker or picture to protect it. Turn the bottle cap over and apply the mounting tab. You can add beads or bobbles to the bottle cap. Use a small nail and gently hammer a hole on the edge of the bottle cap before the picture placement and attach a jump ring for the accents.

Sew the bottle cap to the center of the bow using the mounting tabs on the back of the bottle cap to sew through. Sew the spring barrette to the back of the bow.
