How to Learn the Cello Online
The cello is an instrument that is not typically played online -- but it can be learned online, like almost anything else. When you learn to play the cello online, it is important to have an actual cello that you are practicing on in real life. You can't learn an instrument just by reading online sites and looking at diagrams -- you must practice the technique. However, online sites can give you the information you need to learn the basics of the instrument and get a good start on the prliminary steps in playing it.

Sign up for cello instruction at Cello online. Click the "Cello Basics" link at the top of the screen to learn some of the facts behind the instrument. Then select "Exercise Studio" at the top of the screen to see some exercises that you can follow along with using your own cello. The Listening Room at the top of the screen allows you to listen to various exercises and music on the cello so you can play along. You can also buy sheet music or other types of practice materials at the "Store" link.

Learn cello at MusickED. Click on "Discover" to discover information about the cello and to learn basic information about the instrument. Choose "Learn" to actually run through various songs and lessons that will help you hone your cello skills. When you click "Play" you can see a variety of exercises and games that help you understand the cello and memorize fingerings and bowing patterns.

Click on the Cello Online Practice Tips page to read through tips on how to use the online information you will find and combine it with the hands-on practicing of your instrument that you'll need to do to be a success when it comes to the cello. Read through the practice tips as you engage in online learning, so that you will be learning at the same rate as you practice offline.
