A slipcover is a large piece of fabric that fits right over your existing couch cushions and can extend the life of a perfectly good couch by giving it that much-needed facelift. Instructions

      Put a slipcover over the entire couch and pull until the bottom of the slipcover reaches the floor.

      Tuck the slipcover in the couch, such as behind the cushions and on the sides of the couch, near the arm rests.

      Tie any ties that your slipcover includes, such as around the sofa legs at the bottom or at the front of the arm rests.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your couch is an unusual shape, you can make your slipcover fit by tying your own ties in places the material bags. You can also sew or hem the areas where there is extra fabric if you don't like the look of the ties.

  • A slipcover can also work to cover an armchair, loveseat or ottoman. The instructions are the same as those for a couch.
