How Can I Recover the Pictures Off My SanDisk?

SanDisk makes memory cards and USB flash drives which allow you to store files in order to transfer them to other devices and save space on your computer's hard drive. If you accidentally erase files from your SanDisk storage device you can recover them with a data-recovery program; you can download one of these programs online for free and retrieve lost data such as pictures, video and documents.

Instructions

1. Download a data-recovery program online. Many of these programs are available as freeware downloads, including Recuva, Uneraser and Smart Recovery 4.5. Save the data-recovery program's file to your computer's desktop and double click on it to open the program.

2. Insert your SanDisk memory card or USB flash drive into the memory-card slot or USB port, respectively.

3. Choose your SanDisk device from the drive selection drop-down menu. The data-recovery program will scan the storage device for deleted items and will display the data in a list.

4. Select the files you wish to recover from your SanDisk and click on the "Restore" button. The recovered data will restore the files to your SanDisk storage device.
