Pork spare ribs make a delicious main course. The best part of this meat is that it can be marinated in different ways. Barbecue spare ribs are always a favorite, but if you want to try something different, a honey garlic marinade might be for you. Try both of these marinades next time you cook for a group. Things You'll Need

  • For a honey garlic marinade (for four pounds of spare ribs):
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • For a traditional barbecue flavor (for four pounds of spare ribs):
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 cups of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of dry mustard
  • Dash of black pepper
  • Dash of red pepper

  1. Honey Garlic Marinade.

      Combine the above ingredients in a large bowl until all is mixed well together.

      Place your spare ribs in the marinade, mixing well. Cover the container and let it sit overnight.

      Cook your spare ribs by either grilling them or baking them, whichever you prefer. As you flip your ribs over, spoon on the remaining marinade.
