How to Make Your Own Journal on Disneyland
Disneyland is a fun destination for people of all ages, and making a journal of your travels to and through the park is a creative way to craft a memorable and personal keepsake. Making your own Disneyland journal is cost-effective and suitable for both children and adults. It is an interactive project that the whole family can work on after returning home from a Disneyland vacation, and the journal can bring back memories from your vacation for years.

1
Gather information and literature about the park before you go. This information will help you decide how you want to format your journal, and the literature can provide photos and images that you may want to use to start your journal.
-
2
Write down thoughts and notes in a separate notepad as you explore the park. Think of this as a rough outline of the journal you will create when you have finished collecting everything you need from your trip. You can even take the pages from this notepad and paste them right into your journal.

3
Take lots of pictures. Even if you are not able to insert the photographs into your journal immediately, keep taking pictures and make notes about where the pictures should go in your journal or notebook. For instance, if you have your picture taken with Mickey in Adventureland, you may want to make a note to put the printed photo in the Adventureland section of your journal.
-
4
Keep anything you receive at the park. You can use maps, brochures and even receipts as resources for graphics and images in your Disneyland travel journal. Take home more than one copy of maps and brochures if you think you can use them for cutouts.
-
5
Decide what kind of journal you want to create from your Disneyland experience. For instance, if you want to organize your journal chronologically, you may choose not to create any headings and instead simply record the events of your trip as they occurred. Or, for a thematic approach, you can split the journal into sections that correspond with different areas of the park.
-
6
Gather all the materials you have collected and begin pasting them into your journal. Alternate the mementos with your photos and personal recollections of your Disneyland experience. Use markers or crayons to illustrate and decorate the pages of your journal.
