There are, by my count, at least seven levels of fried chicken. The worst of them is good; the best, which I waited forty-four years to find, led to what can only be called an out-of-body experience. Let’s start at …
How to Make White Wine Punch
Created in Spain and made popular in the United States at the 1964 World's Fair, sangria is the inspiration for the wine punches of today. With many varieties of sangria and wine punches to choose from, you can find a recipe to suit any occasion. Crisp and clear, white wine can create a delicious punch that is both refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. The golden color of white wine will offset the color of the fruit in the punch bowl. You can make white wine punch in large volumes for parties and gatherings, or it can be made and enjoyed by the glass. Add this to my Recipe Box.

-
2
Choose a dry white wine for your white wine punch. Pour the entire bottle of dry white wine over the raspberries. Add 4 cups of fresh club soda.
-
-
3
Fruit juice adds sweetness to white wine punch. Add 6 cups of fruit juice. Orange, pineapple or grapefruit are the best flavor choices. You can also create a combination of all three flavors by mixing equal parts of each juice.

4
Stir in brown sugar.
-
5
Squeeze in the juice of 2 limes. Thinly slice the lemons and float the thin slices on top of the punch.
-
6
Section the grapefruit and the oranges. Float grapefruit and orange sections in the punch.
-
7
Ladle the punch into cocktail or punch glasses and serve over ice.

Tips & Warnings
You can use leftover wine when making white wine punch by the glass. Wine loses its flavor and aroma within one to two days of opening. Turning leftover wine into a punch is a way to minimize waste.
Modify and adjust the fruits in the recipe to what you have on hand and what you prefer.
Choose dry white wines for the best results.
Exercise caution and drink responsibly.
Buttery flavored white wines such as chardonnay are not the best option for a white wine punch.
