How to Make Costumes for Kids With Milk
Whether your child has a milk obsession or you are trying to subliminally influence her to drink more of the wholesome white stuff, you want an idea for a milk costume. Dressing up like a milk carton can be a cute look if your child has a sibling who will be a chocolate chip cookie or a piece of cake. Milk on its own can be funny, too, however, so don't despair if your daughter wants to be milk, but your son insists on being a baseball player.

Instructions
-
Milk Carton
-
1
Find a cardboard box that is a good fit for your child's height, approximately from her shoulders to just above her knees in length.
-
2
Cut off the bottom of the box so she has somewhere to put her legs and she can walk easily.
-
-
3
Cut a hole in either side of the box for her arms.
-
4
Cut a hole in the top of the box for her head.
-
5
Tape down any loose sides of the box so it will stay in place while she is wearing it.
-
6
Lay down the box and paint all sides white. Allow the top sides to fully dry before you turn over the box to paint the bottom side.
-
7
Allow the white paint to dry fully.
-
8
Paint "MILK" in big letters with red paint on the front and back of the box.
-
9
Cut a circle from the red oaktag.
-
10
Staple red ribbon to both sides of the circle, place the circle on the child's head and tie the ribbon in a bow under her chin. The circle represents a milk jug cap, so if you would like to use blue or green oaktag and ribbon to represent lower-fat milk, that would work too.
-
11
Dress your child in all white clothing and place the box over her and the cap on her head.
