How to Create an LCD Text Scroll
Liquid Crystal Display, or LCD, text scroll -- more commonly referred to as Light Emitting Diode, or LED, text scrolls -- are digital banners used to display scrolling text on Web pages. LCD text scroll generators convert user-defined text and presets into HTML code, which is used to embed the LCD text scroll into Web pages. Open a Web browser, and navigate to TextSpace's LCD Text utility to generate your own LCD scroll text (see Resources).

Click on the "Select" button below the scroll template you'd like to use. Enter your scroll text into the "Your Text" field on the following page.

Select a text scroll speed from the "Speed" menu box and then specify the width of the scroll box, using the "Frame Width" menu box.

Click on the "Make My Text" button to generate your LCD text scroll, and then click on the "Get the Code" button to generate its HTML code.

Open a Web browser, and navigate to the MasterGreetings website to generate your own LCD scroll text (see Resources).

Type your scroll text into the "Enter Text" menu box, select a color scheme from the "Select Style" box and then choose a font for your text from the "Select Font" box.

Copy the HTML code from the "Get Your Code" box -- the box updates automatically.

Open your Web browser, and navigate to the Satisfaction website to use the LED Scroller Generator to create your own scrolling text (see Resources).

Enter your scroll text into the utility's "Text" box. Select a text color from the "Theme" box. Click on the "Back" and "Glow" boxes to select a background color and to set the color of the text's glow.

Adjust the dimension of your text scroll using the menu boxes under the "Size" heading and set its scroll speed with the slider under the "Transition" heading. Click on the "Get HTML" button to generate the code for your text.
