How to Clean a Kitchenaid Stainless Steel Dishwasher

KitchenAid stainless steel dishwashers offer powerful cleaning in a modern design. Regular cleaning and maintenance are necessary to keep your stainless steel dishwasher looking and working its best. Spills, fingerprints and mineral buildup from hard water can make your stainless steel dishwasher look dirty or unattractive. KitchenAid recommends using stainless steel cleaner on the exterior of your dishwasher, and dishwasher detergent on the interior for best results.

Things You'll Need

• Cloths
• Sponges
• Stainless steel cleaner
• Rubber gloves
• Dishwasher detergent

Instructions

1. Dampen a cloth or sponge with warm water, and wring it out.

2. Apply stainless steel cleaner to the cloth or sponge, and wipe the dishwasher exterior to remove any residue.

3. Rinse the dishwasher exterior with a damp cloth or sponge, if necessary.

4. Dry the dishwasher exterior with a clean cloth.

5. Open the dishwasher and remove any dishes before cleaning the interior. Put on rubber gloves.

6. Wipe the inside of the door with a damp sponge and dishwasher detergent to remove any stains or mineral buildup.

7. Fill the main wash compartment with dishwasher detergent, and close the lid.

8. Close the dishwasher door, and run a normal wash cycle to clean the interior.
