Alligator clips are used to connect objects to electrical circuitry.

Alligator clips are metal clips that are connected electrically to conductive wiring, named for the gripping teeth that give them resemblance to the jaws of an alligator. You can use them to connect any metal object to electrical circuitry without other fastening. They typically come in pairs, with one clip sheathed in black rubber and the other coated in red rubber.
