1
Utilize quality feedback surveys for your recent customers in order to solicit feedback. This consists of a short list of questions describing their satisfaction with the service received, allowing customers to suggest ways the business might be improved.

2
Perform face-to-face surveys of consumers and prospective customers in order to obtain marketing information regarding your business's direction. This is the most time-consuming and expensive form of market research, but can provide the most in-depth insights into what an individual is seeking in the market.

3
Solicit feedback through mass mailing surveys, consisting of a general list of questions, such as the consumer's primary concern in your market segment regarding value, quality, costs and services. This is a fairly inexpensive method of obtaining perspective on your business, but be prepared for a low response rate and a higher than average rate of false responses.
