How to Use an Intex Pool Patch Kit
Intex pools typically come with a patch repair kit in case your pool develops a hole. Even if the kit is not provided, you can find one at a pool retailer or directly from your pool dealer. These kits have everything you need to repair the side, bottom or inflatable ring on your Intex pool. Clean the patch site well to remove any algae or other buildup. Otherwise, the patching process mainly involves applying an adhesive and placing the patch on the pool. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Clean the hole area on your Intex pool gently, using a soft cloth and solution of mild laundry detergent and water. Avoid using strong cleaners.
-
2
Cut a patch from the material included with the patch repair kit. (Use the clear patch if you are repairing the top ring.) Cut out a circular shape a little larger than the hole, using a pair of sharp, clean scissors.

-
3
Deflate the top ring if the hole is located on it. On other pool parts you only need to clean the application spot.
-
4
Squeeze the vinyl cement onto the entire back of the patch in an even layer. If the hole is on the inflatable ring, place the cement on the ring as well as the back of the patch.
-
5
Place the patch over the hole and apply pressure for a few minutes to help the patch adhere to the surface. Place a patch on the outside of the pool as well, if the hole is on the perimeter of the pool.
-
6
Hold the patch down with a weight such as a brick for a few minutes, if the hole is located on the bottom of the pool.
